“Crowns In Motion”

$330.00

One of the Expressionist’s favorite works from his 2023 exhibition Beyond, held at CC Young in Dallas, Texas, Crowns in Motion was worked on up until the night before the show. Though modest in size at 11” x 14”, it carries remarkable presence. Liquid Gold Leaf and Unbleached Titanium dance over layers of Black, Blue, and Green—drawing the viewer into a patternless pattern, full of rhythm and surprise.

The shimmering arcs of gold serve as crowns—symbols of dignity, resilience, and identity—yet here they refuse to remain still. Instead, they move, bend, and shift across the surface, embodying the idea that power and grace are never fixed but alive in motion. Black and white accents punctuate the piece like pauses in a melody, guiding the viewer’s eye through its layered rhythm.

  • 11 in. x 1.5 in. x 14 in.

  • Acrylic, Liquid Gold Leaf on Canvas.

  • Black Frame Included;

  • Mat Not Included.

  • Staged photograph of art enlarged for viewing purposes.

This work reflects the idea that crowns are not static symbols but living forms of identity—constantly evolving, always in motion…
