“11 9 14 7 | Crown The KING”

$475.00

An ode to the genius Basquiat; albeit not trying at all to “compare” to the GOAT Basquiat—but to admire the freedom of and the collective freedom of expression that exudes in Basquiat‘s paintings. That is what the Expressionist desired to channel while creating this piece.

The numbers 11, 9, 14, 7 in the piece correspond with the word King. The K, for example, is the 11th letter in the alphabet. Add “11, 9, 14, 7; King” to your collection and catch all the stories it tells.

Like life, art sometimes is not “neat and clean”, there’s texture and lines/ebbs and flow; underlying meanings/messages and stories which may very well be one of joy/pain, but one of them is also freedom—and “freedom” for the Expressionist is the simplicity of putting the paint on the canvas.

There are tiny faces and crowns throughout this piece. The crown boldly in the middle is created with Musou Ink.
