“The Weight of Gold”
“The Weight of Gold”
$450.00
This work was formed directly by hand—built from sand and resin, shaped in the dirt, and guided by touch rather than tools. The surface carries weight and variation, where gold settles into uneven terrain and darker seams move like fault lines beneath the skin of the piece. Nothing here is polished for comfort; every texture records pressure, movement, and time.
What emerges is a quiet balance between resilience and vulnerability. The materials remain visible and honest, allowing the work to exist as both object and process. This piece invites close viewing—asking the eye to slow down and read the surface the way one reads land, memory, or history.
